Beryllium and Beryllium Alloys

Beryllium is a steel-gray, strong, lightweight and brittle alkaline earth metal.

It only occurs naturally in combination with other elements to form minerals. Because of its high flexural rigidity, thermal stability, thermal conductivity and low density, beryllium is often used in the aviation industry for aircraft components, missiles, spacecraft, and satellites.

Copper-Beryllium Alloy is the most common form of Beryllium.
